Welcome to High School

Hello and welcome to OVCA High School! On behalf of our entire staff, we want to thank you for choosing OVCA for your child for the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking forward to partnering with you as your child focuses on attaining – and working through – a growth mindset as well as mastering grade level material. There will be trials along the way for both you and your child. That is to be expected; it’s okay. Give yourself grace to have these struggles and know that not everything will go according to plan.

We want all students to get plugged in to school, because when they are plugged in, they are engaged and will be more successful! OVCA High School has opportunities for students to connect with peers both online and in person through clubs, Student Council, NHS, outings, and more. Our counseling and engagement support team help students learn the organizational and socio-emotional skills for students to be successful in this world.

Further, it is part of our mission as a school to help students prepare for the next phase of life after high school. Therefore, we help students explore careers with weekly career and college live speakers, monthly career focuses, and the culminating ICAP project (9^th-11^th grades). We invite students to take advantage of post-secondary opportunities while in high school including career tech, concurrent enrollment (virtual and on site at a local college), internships, and AP coursework during their 11^th and 12^th grade year.
