About Verna Chow

 

Verna Chow is a 7th grade math teacher at OVCA Middle School. She started with OVCA in 2020, but taught math online for 13 years prior. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's in Animal Sciences. A few years later she decided to become a math teacher and received her second degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from University of Central Oklahoma. Verna spent the first 6 years of her career teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry.
When Verna is not working she loves spending time outside with her horses and dogs. She currently has 5 horses, 2 dogs and a cat and takes care of a total of 11 horses and three miniature donkeys.
